Dear Friend

Welcome to our website. I am pleased that you found us. Do you spend a lot of time surfing the web? I talked to a person recently who was a bit lost when her broadband connection went down. She did not know what to do. It made me remember the days when I first came to the UK. Overseas phone calls were too expensive to make. There was no internet. Computers were still room sized objects. We had to write letters! This is a bit of a lost art now. It would take about a week for my letter to get home, and then at least another week for a reply. No such thing as instant communication then. I can now phone the USA free of charge. I can send emails and use Skype to speak to people. What an amazing change!

Have you ever read the letters in the New Testament of the Bible? The Apostles Paul and Peter and others wrote letters then. They are quite interesting and give insight into the early days of Christianity and also of the life and times.

I also think of present day missionaries. They can have up to the minute communication with family and friends. But just one hundred years ago, missionaries would sail away on a ship never knowing when and if they would return. Letters would take months to travel the global distances. Now some missionaries travel home every year. (A friend said recently that when the American colonies declared independence from Britain, it took three months for the King to hear about it.)

Life changes and the years go by so quickly. Make sure you are living with a purpose. One thing that has not changed is the love of God. Through prayer, people have always had instant and free contact with Him.

I guess that is all for now. If you would like to send me an email, that would be much appreciated, it would be good to hear from you. Sadly, quite a few people use it to send me spam.

If you live near King's Lynn and do not have your own church, why not give us a visit? And quite often people have already known someone in the church. If you are visiting Norfolk, you are more than welcome to come to one of our services.

If you find yourself reading this page . . . . .

The Lord bless you.

Pastor Don.
